Leonardo da Vinci
The Art of Invention Schools Tour
The Ark has created an exhibition of interactive models based on the drawings of
Leonardo Da Vinci, complemented by an extensive series of activities, which encourage
children to think creatively about the science, mechanics and art of Leonardo da Vinci.
The Ark will install the machines in your school for a period 2 weeks,
and provide 2 days of teacher training, during which teachers will be enabled to facilitate
a tour of the exhibition with their own class. Teachers can lead children in a hands-on investigation of Leonardo's machines, and the many multi-disciplinary concepts that are associated with them.
The Exhibition comes with a series of suggested classroom activities and classroom research aids,
including a working model of the human eye, instructions on how to make a camera-obscura out of an
empty Pringles box and on-line resources and activities.
The Ark is currently accepting bookings for this event.
