Welcome to Inklings

We are pleased to announce that we are planning to tour the very successful visual arts programme 'Inklings' to schools and arts venues over the next 3 years. We hope to pilot the programme over the course of 8 weeks - bringing us to the end of this school year. The programme will resume at the beginning of the new school year. The artist will bring 'Inklings' into the school environment and guide groups of children as they create their very own, beautifully produced, hand made book.

Aim for Inklings within a school context

This visual arts programme encourages literacy skills while also giving plenty of scope for imaginative concepts and illustration. Bringing 'Inklings' into the school context provides the opportunity for on-site research into the links between literacy and visual literacy and the possibility of providing Inklings on a national scale.

It is possible for teachers involved in the programme to take part in training sessions in advance of the programme taking place in schools.
