Opening night of The Girl who Forgot to Sing Badly
The opening night of the world premiere The Girl who Forgot to Sing Badly, presented by The Ark, in association with Theatre Lovett, took place in The Ark on Thursday 28 January. The Girl who Forgot to Sing Badly, written by Finegan Kruckemeyer, is directed by Lynne Parker and performed by Louis Lovett.

We opened to a full house and were joined by guests from the arts, politics and corporate organisations.
It was a great evening and we had some lovely feedback from our audience:
“It is a really wonderful, innovative and engaging show.”
“It was lovely. Beautiful production.”
“I wish I had had flowers to throw at the end.”
“Loved it. Really, really funny!”

Roddy Doyle, with The Ark's Director, Eina McHugh

We also had a fantastic response from the press:

“Never missing a chance to respond to the chuckles, gasps and vocal contributions of his audience with witty adlibs, Lovett makes the experience seem as natural and interactive as a warm hug." The Irish Times

“Gurgling laughter filled the auditorium at the world premiere of Finegan Kruckemeyer’s children’s theatre piece, The Girl who Forgot to Sing Badly, which tickles the heart strings as much as the funny-bone….it’s Lovett’s compelling one-man performance that sprints from tragic to comic and back again that really ticks all the boxes.” **** Metro Herald

The Girl who Forgot to Sing Badly is at The Ark until Sunday 7 March.
