Herb is a little boy who loves bedtime stories. Every night Herb’s mother reads him a story, and even though things get very nasty in the middle, there’s always a happy-ever-afterly ending.

But what happens when she forgets to take the book out of Herb’s bedroom one night? Could there be wolves lurking between the pages, ready to jump out?

Come along on Herb’s adventure and meet the strangest characters in the world of the storybook where sometimes fairytales get all mixed up.

And remember, if you ever meet a storybook wolf: “Jelly is starters, little boys are pudding!”

Adapted by Tom Swift from Lauren Child’s best-selling children’s book, this stage version has all the mischievous charm of the original. Director Jo Mangan brings her exuberant and playful style to this energetic and funny show which will delight fans of Lauren Child’s wonderful story.
